Agoda doesn't filter out the asq hotels from normal hotels, such a headache
I have never seen so unclear. I'm desperate!
Zero information about the food menu. Additional bottle price of water.
There are not enough pictures and information about the rooms.
God forbid if they put a picture of the window / balcony
Or a laptop desk.
I expect hotels to respect themselves and give a lot more information about the room, especially since I'm going to be locked up 15 days and nights around the clock.

You have to fly into phuket or pattaya to stay in an ASQ hotel there right? You can't fly to bangkok and book an ASQ in phuket or pattaya? If so then will they let you transfer at BKK to the local terminal to then fly to Phuket or Pattaya?

as always thanks for the information you very cheerfully give out. I very much would like to visit Thailand at some stage. Looking at the situation on a global scale I think there is a whole scale reset. Asia is very much closed to mass tourism while South America is wide open. And the very often overlooked Africa. I have watched numerous videos on the visa entry requirements for Thailand. Its very clear this is a massive change on the type of tourists that the country wants. The senior Govt making the requirements are not ignorant on the contrary they are using this pandemic to reorganise the service and hospitality sector. Tourism accounts for 15% of GDP but that 15% feeds a majority of people on lower socio economic scales. THe tough entry requiements will deter the 'Two week millionaires', cheap charlies and back packers.It would be interesting to see how the vaccines influences decisions. I hope Thailand opens up but in the meantime South America has never looked more inviting.
I checked Agoda for the Hotel I always go in Pattaya and I found out price is almost triple of normal price.
Why is that ?

Just hope it gets all sorted by April as I have 4 weeks tour booked end of April 2021. Already cancellation done twice since last year.

I am interested in the new 60 day TR Visa. However there is no mention of this on the websites of the Thai Embassies in India.
I have also written to the Thai Embassy in Mumbai and received no response.

Too risky. Too many documents to prepare. Too expensive. Too much hassle. Not worth it for people who want one week vacation
No quarantine. Then I will come. Many countries don’t have quarantine
Cheapest hotel goes 70€/day. Why come now, when you can wait a while and you can rent an apartment for 200€/month? I'll just wait a while, get the vaccine and avoid all the quarantine BS…
